

Walter Martin Loose, born on November 15, 1929, in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Walter Mahlon Loose and Daisy May Ressel, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Roseville, California, at the age of 95 due to pneumonia.
Walter proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he dedicated 30 years as an electronics technician specializing in radar repair at McClellan Air Force Base. He retired in 1984 after a long and fulfilling career.
In 1953, Walter married Mildred Eugene, and together they shared 54 wonderful years filled with love and adventure until her passing in 2007. During their retirement, Walter and Mildred enjoyed traveling extensively, creating cherished memories along the way. In later years, Walter found companionship with Helen Baker, with whom he spent 15 happy years until her passing.
Walter had a passion for HAM radio and delighted in connecting with people from around the globe. He also enjoyed flying model planes, a hobby that brought him great joy in his later years.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mildred Eugene and his dear partner Helen Baker. Walter is survived by his sister Daisy Hess; brother Forrest Loose; daughters Betty Loose and Lynn Loose; granddaughter Theresa Jorgensen; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A memorial service to honor Walter’s life will be held on January 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, located at 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, California.
Walter’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
