Pleake, William “Bud” born on July 23, 1934 in Kirbyville, MO went down fighting on January 22, 2013 in Rancho Cordova, CA at the age of 78, surrounded by his family. Bud served his country in the Korean Conflict with the US Navy, and later dedicated 30 years of his life as a civil servant to McClellan AFB, retiring as a GS12 Branch Chief. He was known for his love of the news, football, pinnacle, chess, camping, bowling, fishing and the Republican Party. He is predeceased by his dedicated and loving wife of 22 years, LoraLee; his parents and siblings. He is survived by his children; Pearl, Patricia, Corey and Kristi (Ricky); grandchildren, Jeremy (Leslie), William, Brandon, Shannon, Dustin, Stephen, Cody, Candice, Catelyn, Lexi and Noah; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Taylor, Ashley, Elizabeth, Gracelyn, Claire and Kyle. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb 1st from 4-7pm at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane in Fair Oaks, with a celebration of life to follow on Sat, Feb 2nd at 2pm.
