Adan Abel Ramos
Adan Abel Ramos, of Hebbronville, Texas, was called home to the Lord on January 8, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on September 30, 1938. Though his passing leaves deep sorrow in the hearts of all who loved him, his family finds peace and comfort in knowing that Adan is now resting in eternal life, reunited in heaven with those who went before him.
Adan was the heart of his family—a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the one who made us laugh, lifted our spirits, and showed kindness and patience in the most genuine ways. His beautiful, contagious smile could light up any room, and his joy was felt by everyone who knew him. To know Papa was truly to love him.
He blessed this world with 87 wonderful years. We were blessed with his laughter, wisdom, warm smile, and gentle presence that will continue to live on through the stories we share and the love he poured into each of us and that will be a gift he left us with that we will forever cherish.
Adan lived life fully and joyfully. A natural comedian, he had a gift for humor and could always bring a smile to others, even in difficult moments. He enjoyed traveling, stopping at several casinos along the way and making memories wherever he went. One of his greatest joys was cooking—especially cooking for his family. The kitchen was where his love shined brightest, bringing everyone together through meals made with care and love.
A hardworking and dedicated provider, Adan spent many years working in the oilfield and in the aerospace industry. He took great pride in his work and lived by values of integrity, perseverance, and responsibility. He also proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, a testament to his strong sense of duty and honor.
Adan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ada Molina Ramos, the love of his life; his loving son, Ricardo Alberto Ramos; his parents, Adan and Zulema Ramos; and his brother, David Ramos. Though their absence was deeply felt, we find comfort knowing he is now joyfully reunited with them in God’s eternal embrace.
He is survived by his loving children: his son, Adan A. Ramos Jr.; his daughter, Marta Dennis; and his son-in-law, Roy Dennis. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Aaron Sweatt; Erica McElroy and her husband, Ryan; Adan A. Ramos III; and Miguel Ramos and his wife, Samantha. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren whom he adored deeply: Adalynn McElroy, Declan Ramos, and Emerson Ramos, each bringing light to his eyes and pride to his heart.
He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Humberto Ramos and his wife, Janice; Roberto Ramos; and his sister, Zuelma Ramos Guerrero. He will be fondly remembered by his many loving nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Adan is also lovingly remembered by his longtime companion of 13 years, Eva Garcia, who brought love, companionship, and happiness into his life. He embraced her family as his own, including her daughter, Carla Bowers, and son-in-law, Tom Bowers. He shared a special bond with her late son, Fred Garcia, and cherished her grandchildren—Jackie Bowers; Stephanie Trevino and her husband, Jake; Thomas Bowers and his wife, Leci—and her great-grandchildren. Together, they created countless memories that Adan held close to his heart.
Faith was an important part of Adan’s life. He trusted deeply in God’s promise of eternal life, and while we will miss him beyond words, we find peace knowing he is now resting in the arms of the Lord, joyfully reunited with Mom/Nana and our brother/uncle Ricardo. Heaven gained the most handsome angel, and we hold tight to the promise that this goodbye is not forever. Until we meet again, Papa’s love and smile will remain with us always.
