Adelfa G. Flores

Adelfa G. Flores, of McAllen, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at a hospital in McAllen, Texas at the age of 92. She was born on March 23, 1922 to Felipe Garza and Emilia Ramirez Garza in Randado, Texas. Adelfa was a housewife who loved spending time with her family. She spent most of her time cooking, baking, exercising and gardening. She had a love for music as well as quilting with her friends.

Adelfa was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by the Lord and she was reunited with her parents; first husband, Primitivo Gonzalez, Sr.; son, Primitivo Gonzalez, Jr., husband, Donato Flores and all her siblings, Alicia Figueroa, Elva Lopez, Felipe Garza and Arturo Garza.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Alma G. (Francisco) Fuentes; five grandchildren, Carlos Cavazos, Jr., Jorge Cavazos, Carla Jo Cavazos, Primitivo Gonzalez, III and Ysa Camargo; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss her deeply.

The family will be welcoming visitors at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville on Thursday, May 22, 2014 beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Gudalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
