Alberto M. Carbajal, Sr. entered into eternal rest on, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at an assisted living facility in Brownsville, Texas at the age of 84. He was born on October 17, 1936 to Alcario Carbajal, Sr. and Eusebia Mendez Carbajal in Nueces County, Texas. Alberto worked for Brooks County Road and Bridge as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 20 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he loved working at the ranch, welding and traveling as much as he could.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria Garza Carbajal; son, Alberto Carbajal, Jr.; siblings, Aurora Longoria, Angelita Garcia, Alejandro Carbajal, Arturo Carbajal and Anselmo Carbajal; great-grandson, Jesse Renee Castillo; nephew, Alfredo Sanchez, III and son-in-law, George Villarreal.
He is survived by three sons, Jesus (Evangelina) Castillo, Jr. of Falfurrias, Juan Manuel Carbajal of Falfurrias and Amador (Jovita) Carbajal of Brownsville, Texas; daughter, Norma Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Texas; four brothers, Alfredo Carbajal, Antonio (Ofelia) Carbajal, Andres Carbajal, and Alcario (Yolanda) Carbajal, Jr. all of Falfurrias and four sisters, Armelinda DeLeon, America Chapa, Angelica Carbajal all of Falfurrias and Albesa (Jesus) Garcia of Linn, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the current ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, attendance for funeral services will be limited to 100 attendees and masks or facial coverings are required inside the building.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with Burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
