Angelica O. Gonzales

Angelica O. Gonzales entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at a hospital in McAllen, Texas at the age of 49. She was born on October 29, 1965 to Preciliano Ortiz and Anita Vela in Falfurrias, Texas. Angelica was a loving wife, daughter and sister. Angelica had her Master’s Degree in Theology which she received in Jerusalem. She worked many different jobs throughout her lifetime including field work, nursing homes, school cafeterias, monument sells, the cleaners and was a few hours short of receiving her LVN license. Angelica was very close to her nieces and was like a mother to them. She was outgoing, helpful and giving with a strong belief in her faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Preciliano Ortiz and Anita V. Galindo.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Shawn R. Kopecky of Falfurrias; stepfather, Juan Galindo of Falfurrias; brothers, Pete, Jesus, Juan and Noe Galindo all of Falfurrias and Javier Galindo of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Margarita “Maggie” Galindo of Falfurrias; parents in law, Shirley (Don) Merritt of Longview, Texas and Robert (Martha) Kopecky of Waco, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.
