She was born on September 7, 1932 in Duval County, Texas to Rufino Cantu and Guadalupe Garcia Cantu.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luz Gomez; son, Jerry Gomez; granddaughter, Lisa Flores; great-grandson, John Peter Valenzuela; brothers, Pablo, Nicasio and Raymundo Cantu and sister, Benilde Gonzalez.
Angelina leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by her daughters, Mary (Agapito) Saenz of Victoria, Texas and Nellie (Israel) Martinez of Hebbronville, Texas; brother, Rufino Cantu, Jr. of Hebbronville; sisters, Armandina C. Vela of Corpus Christi, Texas and Anita C. Chapa of Wharton, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Selina Adame, Steven Trevino, Joe Frank Martinez, Israel Martinez, Jr., Joseph Rangel and Jamie Gomez.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 28 2023 with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 9:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
