Antonia S. Sanchez Gonzalez

Antonia S. Gonzalez, 82, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, to be with her Lord and Savior on January 1, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Falfurrias and a local business owner. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Victor M. Gonzalez, Jr., who also passed away on January 1st, forty seven years ago; her parents, Santiago and Maria Sanchez of Falfurrias; three brothers, and two sisters.

She was a devout Catholic, member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Cursillo Movement, and the Catholic Daughters of America. As part of her spiritual journey, she had the privilege of traveling to Jerusalem (the Holy Land). She enjoyed music, dancing, the company of her friends, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her three daughters; Nelda Pruneda of San Antonio, Sylvia (David) Braswell of Falfurrias, and Debra (Max) McGehee of Falfurrias. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Roxie (Sonny) Perez, Victor (Amanda) Pruneda, Gabriel Pruneda, Marci Braswell, Michelle (Forrest) Higdon, Mark Braswell, Kevin McGehee, Kristen McGehee and eight great-grandchildren. Her smile and laughter will always remain in our hearts.

Join us as we celebrate her life at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial services will follow at Victor C. Gonzalez Cemetery in Rios, TX.
