Antonio S. Pena

Antonio S. Pena entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 94. He was born on January 4, 1921 to Jose M. Pena and Manuela Sanchez Pena in Ramirez, Texas. Antonio proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and later in life became a C.P.A. as well as worked for over 10 years with La Gloria Butane and was also the City Clerk and Tax Assessor for Falfurrias.

He was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his parents; his wife, Elisa H. Pena; son, Orlando Pena; sister, Aminta Hancock and two brothers-in-law, Ernesto Villarreal and Gilbert Garcia. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his son, Oscar H. (Delia) Pena of Falfurrias, Texas; daughter, Velma (Felipe) Chapa of Premont, Texas; two brothers, Nelson (Elva) Pena of Corpus Christi, Texas and Siviades (Dolores) Pena of Falfurrias, Texas; three sisters, Elva Villarreal of Falfurrias, Texas, Hilda (David) Sendejo of Houston, Texas and Delia Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren; ten great—grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lisa Pena, Felipe D. Chapa, Caden Sanders, Brandon Sanders, Alvar Hancock, Jose Marcel Pena, Rolando Sanchez and Eloy Sendejo.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with visitation to beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
