

Ariel Salazar entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 5, 2016 a hospital in Laredo, Texas at the age of 36. He was born on July 20, 1980 to Alberto Salazar and Yolanda Guardian Salazar in Falfurrias, Texas. Ariel graduated from Hebbronville High School in 1999. He was most recently working as a truck driver for J.I. T. He will always be remembered for the hard working and loving provider that he was. His family meant the world to him and he would do anything and everything for them. His daughters were his pride and joy and they held his whole heart. Ariel was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan. He liked to spend his time barbequing and going on family vacations. He had the biggest heart and was a loyal friend. Ariel was even giving till the very end by having his corneas donated to two different recipients.
Ariel is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juan Guardian, Sr. and Antonia Guardian; paternal grandparents, Tomas G. Salazar and Luisa Salazar and his two uncles, Tommy Salazar and Virgilio Contreras.
He is survived by his parents, Alberto and Yolanda Salazar; his wife, Lydia Vira; two daughters, Caren Gabriela Guerra and Gabrianna Antonia Salazar; his brother who had a big place in his heart, Alberto (Diana) Salazar, Jr. all of Hebbronville and six very special nephews, Christopher Salazar, Alberto Salazar, III, Oscar Salazar, Brandon Salazar, Carlos Carreon and Estevan Carreon.
Pallbearers will be RJ Montalvo, Cleo Ramirez, Javier Guardian, Jr., Osiel Guardian, Jose Luis Guardian, Jr., Jacob Rodriguez, Frank Menchaca, Carlos Carreon and Estevan Carreon. Honorary pallbearers will be Alberto Salazar, Alberto Salazar, Jr., Christopher Salazar, Alberto Salazar, III, Oscar Salazar and Brandon Salazar.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
