Armando Lara

Armando Lara, 63, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on May 6, 1948 to Bruno Lara and Luisa Mireles Lara in Falfurrias, Texas. Armando was a farmer throughout most of his lifetime. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of over 30 years Rebecca Lara and brother-in-law Rogelio Gonzalez. He is survived by his son John (Estrella) Martinez of Pasco, WA and four daughters, Monica (Mario) Pena of Riviera, TX, Amanda (Alonzo) Nino of Falfurrias, TX, Eliza (Juan) Gonzalez of Riviera, TX, and Cynthia Longoria of Alice, TX. He is also survived by his two brothers Nicholas (Esperanza) Lara and Bruno (Ana Maria) Lara Jr. both of Falfurrias, TX, three sisters Janie (Gabriel) Perez of Kingsville, Alicia (Hilario) Sandoval and Margarita Gonzalez both of Riviera, TX, 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with the Funeral Service following at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at a later date.
