Arnoldo Garza

Arnoldo “Noni” Garza passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Premont, Texas at the age of 75. He was born on August 1, 1941 to Alfredo B. Garza and Hortencia Tamez Garza in Premont. Arnoldo proudly served our country in the United States Army. Noni retired after working for many years as a custodian with the Premont Independent School District. He was also a painter. He will always be remembered for making his morning rounds around the city of Premont on a daily basis and playing the lottery. He enjoyed watching his family members play sports and loved to have his daily chats with his friends at the local Dairy Queen and Oasis Restaurant. Noni is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elva Garza. He is survived by his only son, Steve (Esperanza) Rauda of Houston, Texas; brother, Alfredo (Kathryn) Garza, Jr. of El Paso, Texas; sister, Sylvia G. Villarreal of Premont; two grandchildren, Ethan and Lia Rauda and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Raul Tamez, Octavio Balderas, Pedro Tamez, Baldemar Villarreal, Jr., Benito Villarreal and Homer Cantu.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Premont. Burial will follow at the Premont Cemetery.
