Carlos "Mache" Perez Sr.

Carlos Perez, Sr. "Mache" was called to the gates of Heaven for eternal rest on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. He was born on April 15, 1922 at Loma Blanca Ranch, Bruni, Texas to Severiano Salinas Perez and San Juana Guerra Perez. He was 91 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Amado Perez, Sr., Eduardo Perez, Sr. and Oscar Perez, Sr. and four sisters, Hermogenes Perez Trevino, Estella Perez Perez, Celia Perez Vela and Leonor Perez Landa.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Consuelo De Leon Perez; one son, Carlos Perez, Jr. of Bruni, TX (Ana M. Perez of Orange Grove), two daughters, Isabel C. (Jose Castillo) Rocha of Bruni, TX and Esmeralda R. (+Domingo Jr.) Gutierrez of Hebbronville, TX; one sister, Adelfa Perez Darnell of Laredo, TX. Furthermore, Carlos is survived by 13 grandchildren, Carlos Perez, III of Corpus Christi, TX, Melissa A. Perez (Carlos Garcia, III) of Hebbronville, TX, Chloe Lynn Garcia and Devyn J. Garcia; Eduardo (Tina) Rocha, Jr., Jose F. (Sylvia) Rocha of Rosharon, TX, Carolina R. Eisenman of Friendswood, TX, Wanda R. Hoyle (Paul Sapulvedo) of Shreveport, LA, Hector L. (Angel) Rocha of Bacliff, TX, Rolando (Kendra) Rocha of Pearland, TX, Consuelo "Connie" Guerrero (Manuel Palacios), Servando Guerrero, Jr., Rene Guerrero (Monica Carrera), Juan F. Guerrero (Laura Gutierrez) and Erika I. (Juan M.) Delgado all of Hebbronville, TX; 40 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and two step grandsons, Lionel Gutierrez and Domingo Gutierrez, III.

Carlos spent his life working the ranch, auto mechanics and welding. He loved the wildlife - "El Rancho", his family and he had a passion for dancing. He leaves behind with his family, a lifetime of precious memories, stories, and many examples of a great and loving person. He is greatly loved and respected by many, many people.

Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Perez, III, Carlos Garcia, III, Rene Guerrero, Sr., Juan F. Guerrero, Sr., Jose F. Rocha and Rolando Rocha.
