Celia M. Martinez Rodriguez

Celia M. Rodriguez, 90, of Falfurrias, Texas passed away Saturday January 29, 2011 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Celia was born on August 16, 1920 to Estanislado Martinez and Antonia Morin Martinez in Falfurrias, Texas. Celia retired from the Brooks County Hospital where she worked for as a cook for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jose M. Rodriguez, son Joe L. Rodriguez, sisters Herminia Costley, Teresita Huerta, Sofia Zuniga, Esther Huerta and Manuela Garcia, brothers Gilberto Garcia and Meleton Garcia. She is survived by her loving son Jesus Jose Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, loving daughters Maricela (Rene) Mejia of San Antonio, TX, Celia (Alonzo) Martinez of Falfurrias, TX, Lilie (Carlos) Garcia of Falfurrias, TX and daughter-in-law Nora C. Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by her grandsons Ricardo Rene Mejia of San Antonio, TX, Romeo Rene (Molly) Mejia of Mission, TX, Alonzo Andres Martinez of Denver, CO, Aaron Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX, Joe Jr. (Norma) Ortiz of Falfurrias, TX, granddaughters JoAnn Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX, and LeAnn (Steven) Jenrette of Corpus Christi, TX, great-grandchildren Jake Mejia, Angelina Mari Mejia, Lola Berri Mejia all of Mission, TX, Bianca Ortiz, Daniel Ortiz, Mariah Ortiz, Carrie Jo Ortiz and Damion Ortiz all of Falfurrias, TX, and Jaxton Jenrette of Corpus Christi, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will all truly miss her.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 2, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
