Christopher Jason Martinez, better known as Jason, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 48. He was born on July 14, 1977, to Diana Dalia Huerta and Ramon Martinez in Falfurrias. Jason was a handyman and worked several different types of jobs to be able to support his family. He was always a hard worker and made sure his children were taken care of. They were his pride and joy. He was a friendly person who would never hesitate to give the last that he had to someone in need.
Jason is preceded in death by his mother, Dalia Diana Huerta Salinas; great-grandfather, Arturo Lopez; grandparents; Juan Huerta III and Lydia Mendoza Ramon and father-in-law, Jose “Wally” Colunga.
He is survived by his common-law-wife, Monica Denise Colunga; son, Christopher Jason Martinez Jr.; daughters, Allison Destiny Martinez and Caitilin Samantha Martinez; step-daughter, Cynthia Marie Vela; brother, Michael (Ronnie) Huerta; mother-in-law, Linda Torres all of Falfurrias; sister-in-law, Queta Colunga of Corpus Christi, Texas; one nephew and many aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, with a Rosary to be prayed at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
