

Clarisa M. Pérez, a warm-hearted and beloved member of her community, passed away on September 7, 2023. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend; with an unwavering faith and strength. Clarisa's life was one filled with joy, love, and countless cherished memories. Born in 1966, Clarisa grew up in Hebbronville, TX and graduated from Hebbronville High School in the Class of 1985. Clarisa’s kind heart was evident in her interactions with others, as she always went out of her way to make people feel valued and appreciated. Family played a significant role in Clarisa's life; she found true happiness and fulfillment in the time spent with her loved ones. Whether it was gathering for family meals or card games such as Uno or Pictionary and late-night Yahtzee marathons, each moment shared with her family held a special place in her heart. Clarisa delighted in spending quality time with her family; laughter filled the room as they competed playfully into the wee hours of the night. These gatherings created bonds that were unbreakable and memories that will be cherished for generations to come. One of Clarisa's greatest passions was Friday Night Lights – the exhilarating experience of watching Longhorn games. She would arrive at the stadium thirty minutes before kickoff without fail, radiating excitement and optimism for her favorite team. She also enjoyed engaging in hobbies that allowed her creativity to flourish, like knitting and cross-stitching; Clarisa crafted beautiful pieces that brought warmth to those fortunate enough to receive them. Clarisa Perez brought light and love into the lives of those she touched. Her unwavering dedication to her family, infectious laughter, and caring nature will forever be remembered. The impact she had on the people around her is immeasurable, and her absence will be deeply felt. May we carry her memory in our hearts and be inspired by her selflessness and genuine love for others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Odilia S. Martinez; brother, Osvaldo Martinez; father-in-law-, Jose Angel Pérez; Sisters-in-law, Margarita Pérez, Maia I. Pérez, and Graciela Pérez; and brother-in-law, Jesse Pérez.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Greg Pérez; children, Jonathan Pérez and Odette Pérez; brother, Jose H. (Belinda) Martinez; sisters, Cynthia and Dora Martinez; mother-in-law, Catalina Pérez Corpos; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams with a chapel service at 11:00 a.m. A rite of committal and interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
Honoring Clarisa as pallbearers are Bobby Tolentino, Narciso Pérez, Jose H. Martinez, Ruben Rodriguez, David O. Chavez, and Eric Zambrano.
