In reflection, Dalia played different roles to the variety of people in her everyday life. Colleagues, neighbors, and acquaintances described Dalia as a sweet lady. Her children's friends loved Dalia as their second mother. Her home was their home and they were always welcomed. Her siblings thought of her as their rock, someone to lean on, and always a phone call away for life’s important conversations. Lastly, Dalia was a shield and guide for her children. She shielded them from life’s toughest obstacles, allowing them to pursue life, love, and happiness.
Dalia’s greatest strength was her heart. She had a heart of gold and it was filled with love. A strength that was passed down to her children. Even though she is no longer with us, her memories, her spirit, her essence, and her love will forever reside in our hearts.
