To say that David Fernando Ramirez, "David F." as he was warmly known, led a wonderful life would be an understatement. David was born on June 10, 1957, in Laredo, Texas to Fernando and Olga Ramirez and passed away on December 1, 2020 in Hebbronville, Texas. Like many of you reading this, our family is sharing a range of emotions including shock, sadness and confusion. David was an incredible light in this world for 63 years. His joy for life, commitment to family, and ensuring the overall well-being of everyone he knew was part of his daily routine and nighttime prayers.
Throughout his time with us, he carried an aura that captivated and inspired us to be better people and better Christians. David and his wife Dora held a special bond that is almost uncharacteristic in today's world. Their passion for each other is widely known and it showed in such a remarkable way that it could be an epitome of true and unconditional love.
David was a devoted Husband, a proud Father, a joyful Grandfather, a role model Brother, a phenomenal mentor to his relatives and a tremendously skilled cook. His talent for bringing family and friends together through food was only outshined by an incredibly successful career in which he paved a path for members of our community to help build their dreams.
Few people in this world can uphold a uniqueness and magnetism which makes them memorable. David was one of those lucky few. We want to remember our beloved, and his love for family and town, with joy and happy memories that were bolstered with his trademark laugh and devotion to anyone in need of support or a helping hand.
He is preceded in death by his father, Fernando G. Ramirez, sister-in-law, Alicia Ramirez, and brother-in-law, Larry Villarreal.
David will be forever celebrated by his lovely wife Dora Ramirez, three exceptional children David (Ana), Dariel, Deliza (Lloyd) and two wonderful grandchildren, Elias and Adelina. He is also survived by his mother, Olga Ramirez; mother and father-in-law, Laurencio and Pura Villareal; his siblings, Juan, Oscar (Marisa), Sandra and numerous nieces and nephews that all loved him dearly. He will remain in our hearts, memories and stories. We wish him well on his new journey and will forever embrace the lasting legacy that he gave us.
Pallbearers include Bryan Gonzalez, Jorge Pena, Javier Pena, Carlos Vela, Octavio Ramos and Robert Trevino.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private viewing for David will be held on Monday, December 7th, 2020 at The Immaculate Chapel at 8:00 AM with a Rosary at 9:30 AM and Mass at 11:00 AM for immediate family only.
