

Eduardo "Tiny" Mendez, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at a nursing home in Laredo, Texas. Eduardo was born November 7, 1963 to Leonel P. Mendez and Maria Luisa Serna Mendez in Alice, Texas.
Eduardo was a resident of Hebbronville, Texas for all his life. In his teenage years, Eduardo left his schooling to work as a ranch hand with his father at Barnhart Ranch and later joined the trucking industry as a truck driver. He drove state to state for many years, practically knew the roads of the United States like the back of his hand. His favorite route was always the one leading back home, where he was always greeted by his loving family. Eduardo was always someone you can count on in time of need, and never hesitated to give his shirt off his back. His favorite pastime was sitting around with friends and family, catching up and making them laugh. Eduardo had no children but cherished his nieces and nephews as his own.
Eduardo is reunited in Heaven with his parents; Leonel P. Mendez and Maria Luisa Serna Mendez.
He is survived by his three siblings, Veronica Betty (Rene) Rodriguez, Leonel (Velma) Mendez Jr., and Mark (Clarissa) Mendez all of Hebbronville; Nieces, Valerie (Jorge Molina) Gutierrez, Viviana (Joshua Waters) Gutierrez, and Veanna (Michael Guerra) Mendez, Catalaya Mendez and Catiana Mendez; Nephews, Randy (Mandy) Rodriguez, and Leonel (Catarina Nance) Mendez III; Great nephews, Isaiah Guerra, Miles Molina, Brady Waters and Leonel Mendez IV; Great nieces, Amora Waters, Vaeda Molina; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
"Tiny" will be missed by family and countless friends. He had a great sense of humor, quick wit, and kept everyone he knew on their toes.

Pallbearers will be Michael Guerra, Joshua Waters, Jorge Molina, Tomas Barraz, EJ Ureste, Juan Mendez Jr., Federico Serna Jr. and Ignacio Serna.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
