Elsa M. Gomez entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at a Hebbronville Nursing Home at the age of 81. She was born on August 17, 1944 in Hebbronville, Texas to Aurelio Martinez and Anita Dominguez Martinez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Jose Francisco Martinez, Gloria Cipple, and Lucila Martinez.
Elsa leaves behind many precious memories that will forever be treasured by her husband, Olivero Gomez Sr. of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Elva G. Gonzalez; son, Olivero Gomez Jr.; siblings, Israel (Nellie) Martinez, Lilia M. (Tony) Gonzalez, Graciela M. (+Domingo) Hernandez, all of Hebbronville, Texas, and Hilda M. (+Ivo) Perez of Rio Grande City, Texas; granddaughter, Daniela D. (Javier) Vela, and great-granddaughter, Kareli G. Vela.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. with a Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
