Elvira Mendez Vela, 77 passed away June 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born on February 11, 1934 to Alejandro Mendez and Juanita Sauceda Mendez in Sejita, Tx. She was a housewife. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jose Vela, son in law Cory Jenkins and sister Dora M. Vela. She is survived by her son Jose Camillo (Diana) Vela of Realitos; daughter Patricia V. (+Cory) Jenkins of Hebbronville; sister Belia M. (Tony) Garcia of Sharmock, TX.; 7 grandchildren Shelby E. Jenkins, Erestine Vela, Santiago L. Vela, Richard Vela, Samuel Vela, Joshua Vela, and Esmilinda Vela

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Friday, July 1, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, in Hebbronville.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Realitos.

Burial will follow at the Realitos Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Ray Canales, Manuel Arredondo, Eloy Baez, Mario Cantu Jr., Jesse Silva, Jose (Joe Bear) Baez, Marcus Montelongo and Ramiro P. Baez Jr.
