Emma Lara Reyes, a loving wife, aunt and friend, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 in Premont, Texas at the age of 80. She was born on August 17, 1944 to Cecilio Santos Lara and Elvira Basaldua Lara in Falfurrias, Texas. Emma worked as a Nurse’s Aide for the nursing home in Premont for many years providing selfless care for the elderly and most vulnerable of residents. She was a devout catholic who loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She will always be remembered as a peaceful, caring and God loving person.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raul G. Reyes (Retired United States Army); siblings, Jesus Reynaldo (Hilda) Lara, Ruben Lara, Raul (Celia) Vela Lara, Elida (Benito) Cardona and Eva (Juan) Urias and her two pet dogs, Fido 1 and 2.
Emma is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will remember her for her warm smiles and her tender heart. She will be missed dearly.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
