Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Ercilia M. Myers, earned her angel wings on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the age of 82. She entered into eternal rest at a hospital in Alice, Texas. She was born in Hebbronville, Texas on October 2, 1938 to Rafael Mendoza and Petra Cantu Mendoza.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rafael Mendoza, Eva Salazar, Francisco Mendoza, Ismael Mendoza and Maria Mendoza.
Ercilia leaves behind many wonderful and precious memories that will be treasured by her husband, Leroy Myers of Hebbronville; sons, Leroy Myers, Jr. (Rosie) of Pleasanton, Texas, Christopher Myers of Hebbronville and Jeffrey Myers (Rose) of Edinburg, Texas; daughter, Annette Martinez (Arnoldo) of Hebbronville; brothers, Arnoldo Mendoza, Cayetano Mendoza, Alberto Mendoza all of Hebbronville and Benjamin Mendoza of Austin, Texas; sister, Alva Virginia Silva of Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Myers, Jr., Chris Myers, Chris Myers, Jr., Jeff Myers, Arnoldo Martinez and Arnoldo Mendoza and Lauro Garcia
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with services concluding with the Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
