Born on June 19,1940 in Orange Grove, Texas to Juan and Anselma Ochoa. Esperanza was one of twelve children in a home filled with love, noise, hard work and lots of life!
From the very beginning Esperanza learned how to be strong and resilient. Her quiet strength and resilience endured hardships which provided a loving and nurturing family. She was witty, intelligent, hardworking, and always determined in spirit, loving at heart and always giving of herself endlessly to the people she loved the most.
Her Faith in God was also her strength through Joyful days and difficult nights. She carried her Love for him in her heart. Through every hardship she remained strong, caring, and true to herself. A devoted mother, her courage, wisdom, and unconditional love became a shelter for those she cherished, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
Esperanza's name personified her HOPE for All of us!
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Isaac L. Perez, son, Isaac Perez Jr.; numerous brothers and sisters.
She leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by her sons, Juan Manuel "Meme" Perez and wife Lucy of Hebbronville, Texas and Jose Luis (Joe) Perez and wife Janey of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter, Glenda P. Trevino and husband Jim of Sugar Land, Texas; sister, Emma Vasquez and husband Joe of Grand Prairie, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Juan Manuel Perez Jr., Roberto Esteban Treviño, Gabriel Adrian Perez, Joshua Alan Treviño, Joe Isaac Perez, John Michael Perez, Albert Javier Perez and Sean Ethan Moss. Honorary Pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Joanna Melissa Perez, Bianca Janelle Perez, Rebecca Alexis Perez and Leena Rose Treviño.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and Committal services will conclude at the Greenhill Cemetery.
