Federico Lopez Jr.

Federico Lopez, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 09, 2017 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 67 after fighting a short but very rough battle against cancer. Federico was born on December 14, 1949 to Federico Lopez, Sr. and Emma Moreno Lopez in Falfurrias.

He worked as a Welder since the age of 22 and most recently dedicated 15 years of service as a Welder’s Superintendent with TREX of Houston until his retirement. Federico also loved to work at his ranch with his cattle. He was a great father and good teacher; hard but fair. He will always be remembered as a good friend and a good person who was dedicated to his career. Federico was welcomed into Heaven by his parents and brother, Fernando Lopez.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Maricela Lopez of Falfurrias; son, Federico “Sonny” (Melinda) Lopez, III of Falfurrias; brother, Fidencio (Diana) Lopez of Tuloso-Midway/Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Enedina (John)Joiner of Kingsville, Texas and Linda Lopez of Falfurrias; three grandsons, Joseph Lopez, Matthew Andrew (Carla) Lopez and David. A. Lopez; one great-grandson, Benjamin A. Lopez; special and loved friends, Terry Foster of Crosby, Texas, Mary Garza of Falfurrias and Ramiro and Lupita Sanchez of Falfurrias, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
