Flavio Maldonado entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 16, 2023 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 84. He was born on November 29, 1938 to Lorenzo Maldonado, Sr. and Evangelina Ramirez Maldonado in Falfurrias, Texas. Flavio was a Truck Driver for many years and never shied away from hard work. He was a great provider for his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially traveling. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching their games, as well as his classic westerns and novelas, after his retirement. He was man who loved to tell jokes and prank his family and friends.
Flavio was reunited in Heaven with his parents; wife, Fidela Zuniga Maldonado and his siblings, Lorenzo Maldonado, Jr., Margarita Rosas, Magdalena Maldonado and Oralia Arevalo.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his three daughters, Zelda Maldonado (Isi) Salazar of Austin, Texas, Norma Maldonado of Falfurrias, Magdalena “Maggie” Maldonado of Falfurrias; brothers, Mario (Michelle) Maldonado, Xavier (Tina) Maldonado, George (Rachel) Maldonado, Joel Maldonado and Samuel (Norma) Maldonado; sisters, Idalia Alaniz, Eudelia Aguilar, Armandina (Roger) Dominguez and Yolanda Maldonado; four grandchildren, Jacquelyn Salazar, Shane Garza, Zoe Ogdee and Ariana Garza and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Shane Garza, Mario Maldonado, Xavier Maldonado, George Maldonado, Joel Maldonado and Samuel Maldonado.
Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
