Francisco “Cookie” E. Trevino, III entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 59. He was born on November 30, 1961 to Francisco Trevino, Jr. and Maria Elena Vecchio Trevino in Falfurrias, Texas. He worked as a Welder for over 35 years. His love of cooking made him well known in his community as he catered his delicious food for many events. He also loved music and in his younger days enjoyed attending dances to be able to listen and dance to the music. He also had a love for horses.
He is rejoicing in Heaven with his maternal grandmother, Aurora Vecchio; brother, Guadalupe Trevino and his stepson, Jose Ramon “Tydie” Castillo, Jr.
He leaves behind to reminisce on his memories his wife, Selena “Sally” Garcia Trevino of Falfurrias; two sons, F. Joel (Gabriella Rivera) Trevino of Falfurrias and Adriel (Santiago “Jimmy” Ruiz, III) Trevino of San Antonio, Texas; grandson whom he raised, Joshua Dylan Castillo of Falfurrias; daughters, Maritza (Pablo Alfaro) Garcia and Margaret (Billy) Trinidad both of Brownsville, Texas; parents, Jose Rolando Morales and Maria Elena Morales of Falfurrias; sister, Norma (David) Tejeda of Falfurrias; nine grandchildren; his parents-in-law, Modesto and Gloria Garcia of Brownsville, Texas; his pet dogs, Toby and Akeena and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Due to the current ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the family is asking that anyone wanting to attend the services to please join them virtually for a live-streamed Memorial Rosary at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
