Gorge Luis Mendez was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on Monday, March 14, 2016 at his residence in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 54. He was born on August 26, 1961 to Aurelio Mendez and Marina Pena in Hebbronville. Gorge is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Aurelio Mendez, Adalberto Mendez, Jesus Mendez, Leonel Mendez, Cristela Torres, Estella Morales, Gloria Villarreal and Hilda Mendez.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Frances T. Mendez; daughters, Georgina Mendez and Lauren Mendez; brother, Juan (Grace) Mendez; sisters, Ester Serna and Minnie Dinn all of Hebbronville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
