Guadalupe Bayarena entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2021 at Premier Nursing Home in Alice, Texas at the age of 92. She was born on August 1, 1929 to Cresencio Ramirez and Hilaria Rodriguez in Encino, Texas.
Lupita, as she was commonly known, worked from her early teenage years until her late 60’s as domestic help and cook at various local restaurants and a hunting camp in Encino, Texas. Family meant everything to her and she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was cooking for her family. If she knew an immediate family member would be visiting, the first words she uttered were, “What would you like for me to cook for you?”
She is preceded in death by her husband, Candelario Bayarena, Jr.; father, Cresencio Ramirez; mother, Hilaria Rodriguez; brothers, Anselmo Ramirez and Manuel Ramirez; sisters, Petra Perez, Victoria Rodriguez, Ignacia Garza, Rafaela Lozano, Norberta Flores; daughter-in-law, Janie Bayarena and son-in-law, Elmiro Perez.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter, Velma Perez; sons, Candelario Bayarena, III and Homero (Elaine) Bayarena; grandsons, Richard (Melinda) Perez, Jerry (Sonia) Perez, Leroy (Prissy) Perez, and Emilio Bayarena; great-grandchildren, Deidre (Arnold) Manriquez, Dillon (Cassie) Perez, Shawntaya (Tim) Benavides, Nathan Longoria, McKayla Davila and Dakota Lee Perez and great-great-grandchildren, Abram Taylor Manriquez, Adalynn Taylor Manriquez, and Persephone Raine Benavides.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with Visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and services will conclude with Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
