Guadalupe Elva Gomez was called by our Lord into the gates of heaven on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at her residence in Bruni, Texas. She was 82 years of age. She was born on March 16, 1933 to Amando B. Garcia and Biviana Telles Garcia in Devine, Texas. Elva is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Alicia (Rosendo) Perez, Jose Garcia and baby brother and numerous other siblings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Manuel Rene Gomez of Bruni; daughter, Gloria Diana (Julio) Perez of Bruni; brother, Amando (+Wanda) Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Ana (Rey) Almaraz of California and Martha (Albert) Botello of California; granddaughter, Elyza (Joaquin) Rodriguez of Laredo; aunt, Rosa Pumpus of Devine, Texas; sister-in-law, Elda Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bruni. Burial will follow the Greenhill Cemetery in Jim Hogg County.
