Guadalupe Ybarra Regalado stepped into the loving arms of God on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at a hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 86. Guadalupe was born on August 6, 1937 to Concepcion Ybarra and Celia De La Cruz Ybarra in Elsa, Texas. She was an amazing wife and wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an avid Astros baseball fan and enjoyed watching their games. Her grandchildren were her entire world and she constantly wanted them spending their weekend and summers with her at her house. She had a strong Christian faith and prayed for her family daily.
Guadalupe was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by the Lord; her parents; husband, Jose Maria Regalado; brothers, Candelario, Guadalupe, Agapito, Jose, and Juan Ybarra and sisters, Juanita Gonzales and Victoria Ybarra.
She is survived by her daughters, Lucy (Octaviano) Suarez of Premont, Texas, Esmeralda (Gilberto) Marquez of Falfurrias, Texas, Mory R. (Luther Hofstetter) Perez of Premont and Janie (Alejandro) Garza of Mission, Texas; brother, Ruben (Rosa) Ybarra of Edinburg; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Octaviano Suarez, Jr., Martin Suarez, Jose Israel Perez, Jr., Daniel H. Perez, Gilberto Marquez, III, Jesus Ybarra, Daniel Cano, III and Marco Garza.
Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Premont with Visitation at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. and services will conclude with Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
