Hector Leobardo Tijerina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 82. He was born on December 26, 1942 to Jose Tijerina and Viola De La Pena Tijerina in Falfurrias, Texas. Hector was a proud United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years as a Custodian with Brooks County ISD and was known for being a hard worker. He loved music and was proud that his son Carlos took an interest in it as well. He cherished family time and enjoyed creating memories with his family, cousins, and friends. He also enjoyed taking his dog Macy out for her daily walks.
Hector was reunited in Heaven with his parents and sister, Kela Benavides.
He is survived by his wife, Juliana G. Tijerina of Falfurrias; son, Carlos Rene Tijerina of Falfurrias; brother, Jose Tijerina of Corpus Christi; sister, Alicia T. Ramon of Falfurrias; two grandchildren, Nikolas G. Gonzales of Kingsville, Texas and Elizabeth Lynette Tijerina of San Antonio, Texas and numerous extended family members.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Presentation of the Flag will follow.
