Hilda was born on December 14, 1952 to Belisario Martinez, Jr. & Juanita Castaneda in Hebbronville, Texas. After Hilda graduated from Hebbronville High School in 1973, she went on to find a job at the local Dairy Queen with the help of her brother Henry Leal, who landed her the job. Hilda was a dedicated employee and soon was named Assistant Manager, shortly after she was promoted to manager and eventually retired after 39 years as Store Director and Regional Director.
Hilda will always be remembered to many as a lady that was strong in her faith and a confidant to many. If you knew Hilda personally, you most likely received many life lessons that you continue to utilize in your day to day lives. But most importantly, Hilda was the greatest mother to her two boys: Jose Omar Garza & Ademar David Garza. These boys were her joy, her life and God’s greatest gift; she was extremely proud of them.
Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, father to her children Jose Omar Garza, Sr, brother Henry Leal, sister Maria Morante & niece Lupita Ramon all of Hebbronville.
She is survived by her sons Jose Omar Garza, Jr. (Vianey) of Zapata & Ademar David Garza (Javier) of Hebbronville. Grandchildren Cristy Gonzalez (Aaron), Matthew Garza, Freddie Gonzalez, Madison Garza, Joselyn Garza & Ximena Garza. Great grand children Addy & AJ Solis. Siblings Ramona Ramon, who raised her and was like a mother to her, brother Gilberto Guzman & Sister Yolanda Hernandez (Cesario). Nieces and nephews that she saw like her own children Beatriz Moreno (Carlos), Joe Salinas(Mariela), Jennifer Hernandez (Andy) & Liza Dominguez (Juan).
Pallbearers will be Matthew Garza, Freddie Gonzalez, Joe Salinas, Orlando Diaz, David Salinas & Aaron Solis.
Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with services concluding at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
The family would like to send heart felt thanks her long life friends Irma Galvan, Anacelia Ruiz & Janie Sotelo for being by her side throughout her illness. Also, to Jesi Rodriguez & Letty Canales from The Medical Team Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.
