Hortencia D. Garcia
August 26, 1929 – February 10, 2021
Hortencia "Tencha" Garcia, 91, passed away in Ft. Worth, Texas, at her daughter's home, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Mrs. Garcia was born on August 26,1929 to Martin De Leon and Juanita Salazar in Falfurrias, Texas. Mrs. Garcia was a loving and dedicated mother and housewife.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Exiquio Garcia; a son, Elijio; three daughters, Lydia, Isabel and Inez; six brothers, Eusevio, Bernardo, Cresencio, Juan, Ignacio, and Guadalupe.
She is survived by four sons, Pedro "Pete"(Sharon) Garcia from Lancing, Michigan, Mario Garcia from Kerrville, Texas, Exiquio (Lupe) Garcia Jr., from Kerrville, and George (Suzette) Garcia from Kerrville; two daughters, Demetria (Steve) Newgard from Ft. Worth, and Juanita (Mitch) Surman from Wisconsin; three brothers, Tomas and Felix De Leon from Falfurrias and Martin De Leon from Kingsville; Texas; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the First Assembly Of God Church in Falfurrias. Private interment.

So sorry to hear about Tencha, she was my beautiful God mother. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. I remember her beautiful smile when she would come visit our family. She will always hold a special memory in my heart ❤ May she rest in peace and God bless her family.
