Mr. Jose Rene Canales

Jose Rene Canales passed away on September 1, 2010 in McAllen, Texas. He was born on May 17, 1958 in McAllen, Texas; He graduated from Hebbronville High School, attended the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated from the University of Texas at Pan American. He joined the U.S. Navy and later became an auditor for the State Comptroller’s Office. He was a loving father, avid reader, and a loyal U.T. and Cowboy fan. He was preceded in death by his father Jose R. Canales and his sister Nelda Emma Canales. He is survived by his sons Rene and Ramon Canales of Corpus Christi, his mother Emma R. Canales of Hebbronville, his sister Sylvia Canales of Harlingen, brother Jorge (Yvette) Canales of Laredo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 6, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery
