Juanita Tijerina Alvarado

Juanita T. Alvarado entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 18, 2026, at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 77. She was born on May 9, 1949, to Jose Maria Tijerina and Nieves Pena Tijerina in Corpus Christi, Texas. Juanita worked as a home health provider for many years. She enjoyed having chickens and puppies as pets and loved to care for her many plants. In her spare time, she loved playing chalupa and bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.

Juanita was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by her parents; husband, Rene G. Alvarado Sr.; her son, Rocky Alvarado, sisters, Lupe Davila and Estela Gallegos; and her brother, Juan Tijerina.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Rene (Martha) Alvarado, Jr., Francisco Alvarado and Alberto (Bonnie) Alvarado all of Falfurrias and Rodolfo Alvarado, Texas; brothers, Raul Tijerina, Noe Tijerina, Mario Tijerina and Raynaldo Tijerina; grandchildren, Erica (Jonathan), Tracey (Carlos Jr.), Melissa, Rene III (Cecilia), Francisco Jr. (Rebecca), Alejandro (Vanessa), Eliana Renae, Alberto Jr., Isaac, Victoria, Alexis, Alexia, Armando, Veronica, Kizzie, Rodolfo Jr., JaNoah, Jayden, Jarekai, Kaliyah and Kaydi; great-grandchildren, Jaelynn, Jasmine, Kaydence, Zachary, Emma, Isla, Rene IV, James, Kaleila, Adiella, Amora, Josiah, Carlos III, Alex, Lucy, Romeo, Riley, Lynessa Rose, Alejandro Jr., Daniela, William, Alexander and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Frank Alvarado Jr., Alex Alvarado, JaNoah Alvarado, Rodolfo Alvarado Jr., Jayden Alvarado and Rene Alvarado III.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with visitation to beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
