Leonel P. Mendez

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Aurelio Mendez, Jr. and sisters, Cristela Torres, Estela Morales and Gloria Mendez.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Mendez; sons, Eduardo Mendez, Leonel "Chano" (Velma) Mendez, Jr. and Mark (Clarissa) Mendez; daughter, Veronica "Betty" (Rene Rodriguez) Mendez all of Hebbronville, Texas; brothers, Jesus Mendez of Falfurrias, Texas, Juan Mendez, Adalberto Mendez and Jorge Luis Mendez all of Hebbronville; sisters, Ester Serna, Marina Gonzalez and Hilda Serna all of Hebbronville; four grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rene Rodriguez, Tommy Barrez, Jr., Alvaro Landa, Oscar Carillo, Jr., Freddy Serna, Jr., Juan Mendez, Jr., Rene Morales and Ramiro Morales.
