Leopoldo “Polo” Guerra was born on March 21, 1937 and entered the heavenly gates on October 11, 2020. Polo is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Perez Guerra, and his children, Leo (Kathy) of Sugar Land, Hector (Monica) of Hebbronville, Laura Guerra Silguero of Hebbronville, Adriana (Andy) Miller of Hebbronville and Marco (Jessica) of Houston. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who are blessed to have many wonderful memories made with their Popo.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Pilar Lopez Guerra, his brothers, Polito and Cesar and his sisters, Clara Garcia and Francisca Morales.

Polo is survived by his siblings Dora (Ruben) Molina, Mario (Hilda) Guerra and Lauro (Olinda) Guerra Polo will be fondly remembered for his wittiness and personality. His favorite pastimes include spending time at the ranch and above all making priceless memories with his wife of 60 years, children, compadres and loved ones. Polo truly had a heart of gold.

Pallbearers: Hector Guerra II, David Guerra, Daniel Miller, Jordan Miller, Marco Guerra II, Rocco Guerra, Rene Molina and George Corse. Honorary Pallbearers: Paulino Silguero III, Adrian Perez, Hector Ramirez, Dave Gonzalez, Larry Maldonado, Ron Herschap and Mariano Martinez.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Services will conclude with Burial at the Perez Family Cemetery in Webb County.
