Lorena Pena Lopez entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the age of 61. Her unexpected and sudden passing has left her family and loved ones heartbroken. While her time with us will always feel far too short, the love she so willingly gave and the memories she leaves behind will be cherished by her family forever.
Lorena was born December 3, 1964, to Mario Luis Pena and Graciela Parras Pena in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Falfurrias, Texas. Lorena was a beautiful person inside and out and a devoted, loving, and caring mother and grandmother. She was kind, funny, strong, outgoing, and friendly, always making sure that everyone around her was taken care of. She loved attending the Good Times Adult Daycare Center to spend time with her friends and was always there to support her children and grandchildren, whom she adored.
She had a creative and sparkling personality that could be seen in everything she made. She loved crafting, sewing, and bedazzling anything she could get her hands on; the more sparkle, the better. She was also a proud Dallas Cowboys fan.
Lorena was preceded in death by her parents, Mario and Graciela Pena, and her brothers, Jesus Luis Pena and Roel Pena.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Clarissa Nicole Gonzalez (Art Beltran) of Falfurrias; Christoval (Julia Christina) Lopez of San Juan, Texas, Angel Pena and Antonio Pena, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, Roger Gonzalez Jr., Caitlynn Gonzalez, and Gianna Beltran, who were her pride and joy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m.
