Lucia M. Salazar entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 13, 2025 at a nursing home in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 89. She was born on February 2, 1935 to Belisario Martinez and Anita Salazar Martinez in Duval County, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horacio Salazar and siblings, Hector (Nena) Martinez, Belisario (San Juanita) Martinez Jr., Humberto Martinez, Norberto Martinez, Lilia (Rodolfo) Vira, Roberto Martinez and Heriberto Martinez.
Lucia is survived by her brother, Heberto (Evelyn) Martinez of Hillsboro, Texas; sisters-in-law, Martina Martinez of Orange Grove, Texas, Olivia Martinez of Longview, Texas and Alma Martinez of Hebbronville; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Ademar Garza, Rolando Martinez, Eden Martinez, Alan Martinez, Evan Martinez, Odell Martinez and Heriberto Martinez Jr.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with Interment to follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
