She was born on September 5, 1956 in Hebbronville to Roy R. Cantu Sr. and Eva Garza Cantu. Lydia was a sales clerk for Dave's Office Supplies. She is preceded in death by her parents. Lydia is survived by her husband Jose Carlos Escobar of Hebbronville; daughters Chantel E. (Marvin) Molina of Hebbronville and Catherina Marie (Lee Roy) Montalvo of Kingsville; brothers Roy (Cristela F.) Cantu Jr. and Benito (Christina) Cantu; sister Martha Helen (Mark) Wied all of Hebbronville; grandchildren Caylee Nicole Montalvo, Kobi Wes Molina, Dusten Cole Molina and Riley Marie Montalvo

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church

Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Rene Garza, Ricky Garza, Paul Albert Cantu, Johnny Pena, Joey Pena and Romero Luis Escobar
