Margarita R. Muñoz was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her residence in Bruni, Texas at the age of 95. She was born on September 5, 1923 to Melchor Rendon and Blasa Gonzalez Castilla in Abasolo, Coahuila, Mexico.

Margarita was a retired cafeteria employee from Bruni High School.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Federico Noe Muñoz; great-granddaughter, Alisha Gonzalez and numerous brothers and sisters.

Margarita leaves behind many fond memories that will be treasured by her children, Federico (Dyanne) Muñoz of San Antonio, Texas, Cecilia (Ricardo) Mendiola of Oilton, Texas, Mario (Leticia) Muñoz of Bruni, Mary (Juan) Herrera of Corpus Christi, Texas, Robert Muñoz of Hebbronville, Texas., Margie Muñoz of Bruni and Martha (Roger) Camacho of Goliad, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Michael Muñoz, Rodney Muñoz, Andrew Muñoz, Robert Muñoz, Jr., Omar Mendiola, Ricardo Mendiola, Jr., Trace Gonzalez, Mark Herrera, Jesse Garza, Odell Munoz, Israel Nunez and David Reyes.

Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
