Play Tribute Movie

Maria “Mary” S. Casso went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. She was born on August 15, 1949 to Leonel Vecchio Garcia and Ninfa Garcia Garcia in Falfurrias, Texas. Maria was blessed with 70 years of life and was able to accomplish many goals that she set for herself. She attended Bee College where she was able to receive her LVN nursing degree and have a lengthy career in the health industry.

She was a Wound Care Nurse for 25 years at the Southeast Nursing and Rehab center and then transferred to the Sunrise Rehab Center for seven years. All of Mary’s family and friends knew her as a world-class mother and grandmother who was kind-hearted and generous. She touched the lives and took care of many people. This was what she was most passionate about. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and she loved her family and her friends.

There is no doubt that she was greeted at the pearly rainbow gates by her parents; sisters, Erlinda, Corina and Sylvia and her niece, Michelle Palacios. She now flies high with them through the rainbows and with the butterflies.

Mary is survived by her longtime companion of seven years, Elias Robledo of Premont, Texas; sons, Eloy (Yvonne) Salinas of Tilden, Texas and Albert (Heather) Longoria of San Antonio, Texas; step-son, Elael “Eli” (Leslie) Robledo of Premont; brother, Leonel (Debra) Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; two granddaughters, Julianna and Alexia; niece, Priscilla “Prissy” Bazan and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
