Maria Luisa Chapa

Maria Luisa Chapa, 80, entered into the gates of heaven on December 26, 2012 where she was reunited with her parents, Francisco and Emilia Paiz Rodriguez; husband, Homero Chapa, Sr.; brother, Crisoforo Rodriguez and sister Luisa Rodriguez. She was born on October 10, 1932 in Hebbronville, Texas. She was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Homero (Rosa H.) Chapa, Jr. of Bruni, Texas; daughters, Norma (Mario) Canales and Nelda (Henry) Cortinas both of Bruni, Texas and Olinda (Rene) Utley of Weslaco, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Rosalinda (Jorge, Jr.) Gutierrez, Bonnie Lanette (Walter) Black, Stephanie Marie Montiel, Homero (Priscilla) Chapa, III, Pamela P. Saenz, Mario (Jessica) Canales, Jr., Norma Karalynn Canales, Kathrynn Nicole Canales, Valerie Lorraine (Zachery) Fisher, Joseph William (Kayla) Utley and Tiffany Renee Utley; 8 great-grandchildren, Jorge Gutierrez, III, Esteban Homero Gutierrez, Alayna Marie Monitel, Annabella Rose Montiel, Homero Chapa, IV, Jose Angel Chapa, Mario Canales, III, David Ruiz and Adalena Naomi Utley and many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly. Pallbearers will be: Mario Canales, Jr., Homero Chapa, III, Joseph William Utley, Zachery Fisher, Jorge Gutierrez, Jr. and Walter Black.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
