Maria Teresa Villarreal Andrade, 75, left this life peacefully to be with Jesus on November 21, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 9, 1936 in Encino, Texas to Jose M. and Natividad S. Villarreal.
She will be reunited in Heaven with her loving parents, brothers Leonel, Jose M. Jr. and Octavio; sisters-in-law, Armida and Carolina Villarreal and brother-in-law, Jesus Bayarena, Sr. and several nephews and a niece.
She is survived by her loving husband, Margil, two sisters Tomasita Bayarena, Tina Pena (Max) of Corpus Christi and four brothers Gene of Corpus Christi, Avelino (Alicia), Raul (Socorro) of Edinburg and Ruben (Juanita) of Dallas, Texas; a step-son, Gilbert Andrade of Falfurrias, Texas, a step-grandchild, Javier Andrade of Gregory, Texas and a sister-in-law, Margina Garza from Falfurrias, Texas, brother-in-law, Rene Andrade (Flora) from Victoria, Texas, along with many nieces and nephews.
Teresita graduated from Falfurrias High School and attended Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas. She worked for Brooks County ISD in Encino and Falfurrias Elementary schools for 37 years and at the US Postal Service in Encino. Having a true passion for working with children, she enjoyed teaching CCD at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Encino, Texas. She served as an active member at St. Ann’s Altar Society and was involved in many church activities for many years.
Teresita was a great fan of the Falfurrias Jerseys football and baseball teams and attended most of their games. She also enjoyed watching the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboy football games. She and her husband enjoyed many parties, dancing and visiting with their friends. Tere’s infectious laugh will leave a lasting memory with everyone that she met.
The family wishes to express special thanks and gratitude to Spohn Hospital Shoreline ICU and 8th floor nurses and staff and to Trinity Towers Odyssey Hospice nurses and staff in Corpus Christi, Texas for the loving care and kindness to our loved one and to the family members.
“Tia Tere”, as she was fondly called, had a great love for all of her family members, as well as all of her nephews and nieces and will be truly missed.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, and Honorary Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
Her family will be receiving friends and relatives from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening at Funeraria Del Angel-Howard Williams, 1208 S. St. Mary, Falfurrias, Texas.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Encino, Texas with interment to follow at the Antonio Villarreal Family Cemetery in Encino, Texas.
