

Marinelle Carroll entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at her residence in League City, Texas at the age of 92. She was born June 5, 1933 to Earnest Alfred Turner and Lee Miller Turner in Fort Bend, Texas and was a longtime resident of Falfurrias and Premont, Texas. Marinelle earned her bachelor’s degree and was named Summa Cum Laude at Texas A&I Kingsville. She was an educator for several years. She married the love of her life Gary Edward Carroll and together they raised three beautiful children.
Marinelle was known for her unwavering faith in God and love for her family and friends. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and was known by all who loved her as an amazing woman with a heart of gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Gail Carroll; and her siblings, Wanda Plummer, Ted Turner, Zelda Turner, and Juanita (Beeb) Turner.
She leaves behind to cherish the memories made with: her son, J. Thomas (Kim) Carroll of League City, Texas; daughter, Ann (James) Anderson of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren; Cristin (Todd) Woodruff of Austin, Texas; Amy Aderhold of Houston, Texas, Brian (Lauren) Anderson of Reno, Nevada, Anthony Carroll of League City, Texas; Austin Collins of Reno, Nevada; Zachary (Micayla) Collins of Reno, Nevada; Cody Carroll of League City, Texas, and Turner Collins of Culpeper, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Lyla Woodruff, and Harper, Marlow, and Aspen Anderson.
The family will be gathering at the Premont Cemetery to honor Marinelle’s life and commit her to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 30th at 2:00 p.m.
