Mariselda G. Canales

Mariselda G. Canales, 57, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at a hospital in McAllen, TX. Mari was born on July 28, 1954 to Jesus A. Ramirez and Odilia Gonzalez Ramirez in Falfurrias, TX. Mari was a teacher’s aid for many years for the Brooks County ISD and later became a tax preparer for Pronto Income Tax Services. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus A. Ramirez, adoptive mother, Cristela R. Garcia and brother Jose Blas Ramirez. Mari is survived by her husband of 31 years Ruben G. Canales, Sr. of Kingsville, TX, son Ruben Canales, Jr. (Marisol Gonzalez) of McAllen, TX, daughter Valencia Yvette Canales of Kingsville, TX, mother Odilia G. Ramirez of Falfurrias, TX, three brothers Rolando (Yolanda) Ramirez, Roel (Diana) Ramirez, and Oscar (Viola) Garcia, all of Falfurrias, TX, three sisters Janie Longoria (Raul Perez) of Falfurrias, TX, Cris (Joe) Trevino of Premont, TX, and Gloria G. Garcia of Falfurrias, TX, numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, TX, with visitation starting at 4:00 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, TX, burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Ramirez, Mateo Longoria IV, Trey Trevino, Mark A. Ramirez, Tomas Ramirez, Marty Carbajal, Santos O. Gonzalez and Michael Ray Canales. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ryan Garza.
