Mary Chapa

Mary Chapa entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the gnursing home in Falfurrias, Texas. She was born on October 30, 1949 to Santos Chapa, Sr. and Juanita Garza Chapa in Falcon, Texas and was blessed with 73 years of life. Mary enjoyed drawing and performing household duties to keep herself busy.

Mary was reunited in Heaven with her parents; two brothers, Santos Chapa, Jr. and Felipe Chapa; sister, Hilda C. Villarreal and nephew, Nico Chapa.

Surviving Mary are her brother, Juan (Joyce) Chapa of Lake Jackson, Texas; sister, Imelda (Romeo, Sr.) Salinas of Falfurrias; brother-in-law, Israel “Sonny” Villarreal, Jr. of Falfurrias; sisters-in-law, Velma Chapa of San Antonio, Texas and Norma Chapa of Lake Jackson; nephews, Romeo Salinas, Jr., Gabriel Xavier Villarreal, Dos Chapa and Eric Chapa; nieces, Lou Yveth (Roberto Ramos) Caro, Amanda (Erick) Mcgill and Lisa Chapa and great-niece, Xinia Caro and many extended family members.

A Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont, Texas with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at services will conclude with Burial at the Premont Cemetery.
