Matias Saenz Jr.

Matias Saenz, Jr. was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas at the age of 85. He was born on April 14, 1928 to Matias M. Saenz, Sr. and Candelaria Ramirez in Rancho Viejo, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lupita Saenz Gonzalez and Antonia C. Saenz.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his brothers, Matias M. (Margie) Saenz, III and Manuel M. Saenz both of Hebbronville, Texas; sister, Francisca (Genovevo) Garcia of Helotes, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m with Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronvile.

Burial will follow at the Saenz Family Cemetery in El Gachupin Ranch.

Pallbearers will be Manuel M. Saenz, Matias M. Saenz, III, Jesus Salinas, Fortunato Salinas, Carlos Garcia and Sergio Gonzalez.
