It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Hinojosa Perez, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2, 2026, at the age of 71.
Nora was born on June 3, 1955, in Laredo, Texas, to Angelita and Dario Hinojosa. She was raised in Hebbronville, Texas, where she was surrounded by family. Nora was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her two brothers, Santiago Hinojosa and Dario Hinojosa Jr.
After marrying the love of her life, Genaro Perez Jr., Nora moved to Houston, Texas, in 1972, where together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, faith, and family. For 54 years, they shared a devoted marriage, creating a home filled with unwavering love and raising two children.
Nora is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Genaro Perez Jr.; her daughter, Odette Perez Godwin; her son, Genaro Alberto Perez; her brothers, Raul Hinojosa (Fidela) and Marco Hinojosa (Michelle); her cherished grandchildren, Serena, Alexa, Gavin, and Mason; her 11 nieces and nephews; and her 9 great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace. Her love and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held on August 12th at Howard Williams 401 E Texas, Hebbronville, TX 78361.
